Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course, but mainly for the teacher. I'm not big into anything to do with history, but Dr. Larkin made this class so fun and interesting, bringing in multi-media sources and making his lectures fun and entertaining.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the structure of society, what sociological theories rule today's society, the structure of government, and so much more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would just say take notes, go to office hours, and take advantage of study sessions put on by the instructional assistants.

    Course Overview:

This course was incredibly informative as an introductory course! The professor was great and incorporated several mechanisms to assist in learning such as videos and in class discussions.

I learned about the cultural effects of the environment on people and why they may act in the ways that they do. The highlight of this class was definitely the class discussions because I was able to hear and understand various opinions and learn off of my classmates.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes, have an open mind, and read the textbook. All are so helpful!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Sociology is a great class which will explain how society works and why people make the decisions they do. Sociology shows us different perspectives of how society works, for example the power struggles between the wealthy and the poor. After taking the sociology class I feel as though my critical thinking has improved and have found a better understanding of how the world works.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the explanation of how society is divided. For example, how discrimination against a individuals race, gender, age, or religion can effect what a person does and where they go in life. During this class, I learned how and why humans act in the way they do and how it can effect themselves and others. It is a great class to understand human society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give is to keep an open mind and respect what others have to say during class. Also, always keep us with the readings. It will benefit you when it's time for a quiz or open discussion in class. A person can't give their opinion on something if they don't know what they are talking about.
