Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is quick and goes into details on how to calculate interest, both simple and compounded. What to know what your payment will be on those student loans and how much to pay to get them paid off in half the time? This class is for you. Learn to insert formulas into excel. Want to know how much your mortgage payment will be at 6% for 30 years on a $300,000 loan? Want to learn how to calculate how much you will make on stocks at certain points, this is the class. This class is for you. Very little to do with budgeting.

    Course highlights:

Calculate loan interest, simple and compounded interest. Use and enter formulas into excel. Calculate inflation, CPI, etc. Learned all types of formulas I won't need because you can just use google.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are unfamiliar with excel, this class will be very difficult. This professor did provide many links to how to work with excel. However, this class takes a lot of time due to the amount of work just for the homework. So little knowledge of excel will cause this class to take double the time. Don't do the problems by hand, save it all in excel. It is easier to do the quizzes by inserting the new figures into the existing formulas on excel. There is two projects, do all your research the first time and copy it to the final project. Project was real world and could be a future project.
