    Course Overview:

    The professor is a tough grader but is passionate and entertaining in class. My writing abilities greatly improved due to this course.

    Course highlights:

    I learned grammar and a better writing process than I had been using.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you actually read the book. Looking up summaries and sparknotes will not work for this course.

    Course Overview:

    Dr. Mackall is a great professor because he cares about each student's improvement. He makes time for one on one meetings.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how important it is to make revisions to a paper. And that the first draft with never be perfect so go ahead and just get your ideas down on paper.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be sure and manage your time to write the papers outside of class with enough time for him to read the drafts and give revisions

    Course Overview:

    Professor Saslaw is one of the best professors at Ashland. She is caring for all her students and the material that she teaches. She helped me so much to improve my writing! She is amazing.

    Course highlights:

    The biggest highlight of this course was reading Tuesdays With Morrie. It was an amazing book and through it and the teachings of Professor Saslaw, I learned a lot of wonderful life lessons and things that I will remember for a lifetime.

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Take this course, you won't regret it! Saslaw is an amazing professor and you will learn so much from her and the readings she teaches.
