Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very interesting course! As long as you stay engaged and come prepared, you will do just fine!

    Course highlights:

A definite highlight is how friendly the professor is! He truly wants everyone to do well and learn as much as they can. I have been learning about different perspectives of pyschology and how they all interconnect with one another. There is not many assignments either; however, you must complete 12 credits of research projects. It sounds intimidating, but I was able to complete several credits just within the first week of the semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You will need to study, there is a big exam every four weeks. So, by studying a little each night and reviewing what you learn each day, you'll be able to do very well. I find that flashcards and taking notes in several colors help people remember visually. And ask questions if you feel stuck or confused in any way! Dr. Chartier loves when his students ask questions and he completely understands that not everyone picks up on everything right away.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is an overall great course. The professor is extremely helpful. He gives you a brief handout of all the semester's notes, which he encourages you to fill in his lecture notes as he goes in depth with each slide. He also provides numerous videos that explain the topic in different ways to match the student's learning. He will also set up study games with quiz and exam questions to help the students assess how well they are handling the material and give them the opportunity to ask questions. He also allows the students to use their notes on the quizzes, so that if they don't have something on their notes, they have a few days to find it before the exam. This professor is also very helpful with guiding students in their career field and finding extra information about their future careers even if they are not related to the psychology field.

    Course highlights:

This course helped me find a way to study that makes studying fun. QuizUp is a very useful tool to quiz yourself, especially if the professor puts up practice tests. Another highlight was our final term paper. The professor allowed us to have ample time to pick a topic, and he gave us the opportunity to correct our mistakes, especially if writing in APA format is not our strongest suit; he used this as another learning experience. Also, I felt as if I learned more in this course compared to my other courses because the material was presented in different ways and in a way that made learning fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to talk to the professor. Also, take very detailed notes and draw any diagrams/pictures the professors puts on the board because they are very helpful when it comes to the exam; make sure you understand the diagrams and what they mean too. QuizUp is definitely helpful. Note cards are too, especially when it comes to memorizing the different schools of psychology and the different conditions. The book is helpful; however, if you use your lecture notes wisely, it's not needed.
