    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you love reading scripts, I would definitely take this class. Les chooses a lot of different plays from dark dramas to lighthearted comedies. It is a class that is recommended for theatre majors, but it can be used as an elective for non majors.

    Course highlights:

I think I really learned how to read scripts for more than just enjoyment. Les teaches you to look for the reasons the playwright picks certain topics and the purpose of the play as a whole.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Les doesn't require much from his students. You really just have to read the plays and write the responses. If you make sure that you do the readings, you should be fine. Les gives 5-6 questions quizzes after each reading assignment just to make sure that you have done it. Other assignments include a few 2-pg responses and a final project. Also, try not to skip the class more than once or twice because he has a strict attendance policy.
