    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is generally interesting and enlightening to early western art.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course had to be the artwork and learning the many different underrated styles of older art.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice I could give is that you need to pay attention in the lecture and study outside of class regularly.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Terry-Fritsch is much too strict on the required knowledge base for an entry level course like this.

    Course highlights:

Little to nothing. Too much information was trying to be packed into my mind too quickly and I retained almost nothing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take it with Dr. Terry-Fritch and if you do, study like you've never studied before.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You are given specific study guides at the beginning of the semester for each unit. You have plenty of time in advance to study and there isn't much guess work as to what you need to study.

    Course highlights:

You can learn a lot about the evolution of art through the different periods and styles and what historical events lead to those conventions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

have your study guide ready in class. That way you can filter out relevant information when taking notes.
