    a great program and a very supportive institution with plentiful annual opportunities. I highly recommend it.

    Course Overview:

    If the faculty dogmatically enforced a conservative aesthetic, I wouldn't be able to write the aggressive, gesture-driven music I'm writing now either.

    Course highlights:

    They encourage expansion. They don't force change. Beyond that, this is an amazing school for those interested in electroacoustic music. It's also an amazing school with great resources for composition in general.

    All this past calendar year: -I had a fantastic dinner with Jennifer Higdon, the featured guest composer for the New Music Festival

    Course Overview:

    In Northwest Ohio, the weather varies all of the time. It snows one day and then the next it will be sunny and fairly warm. The snow and rain can come down forcefully at times. It isn't too bad because people around here are used to it.

    Course highlights:

    There are really no typical students at the Bowling Green State University. Everyone has their own unique style. Everybody on campus is very friendly and accepting.

    Advice for students:

    There is always a plethora of "hello's" spread from person to person.
