    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You must take this course if you are a STEM major but I would recommend even non STEM majors take it as well. Professor Butler is a really good professor who plans his lectures and notes very well. He is a light hearted guy who is always happy to help students that go to his office hours. The material is challenging and if you are new to calculus like I was, it can be a little overwhelming. But it forces you to work hard and work through the setbacks that will come. Resources are there if you need the help from tutors to office hours.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the fundamentals of calculus along with the some of the applications which use it in real life. For example we did problems about related rates and the amount of work needed to move an object

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I think the exams are tough enough even for people familiar with calculus to have to study. For those people new to the material, don't get discouraged if you don't get things right away and don't compare yourself to other people. Be prepared to work extremely hard just to keep up with the class. The class goes really fast and you will have to stay on top of the material.
