    | No strong feelings either way.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    The class is required so thats why I would recommend taking it, but it is the definition of a boring class. The professors voice is very monotone and he would always try to have group discussions with a lecture room of 300 students which was really ineffective because no one could hear anyway

    Course highlights:

    There were really no highlights for me because I had already taken AP bio and knew most of the material already. I had AP credit but chose to retake the course as a refresher.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Just read the textbook and be prepared for detailed tests. His lectures often times don't correspond directly with the material. Also as boring as it might seem go to class because of he likes to give random in class activities.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Course Overview:

    The Professor can't control the class. He definitely knows what he is talking about, but his teaching methods are not effective when the exam comes. In his class, you have to depend on the SIs for help and seek other tutors, and do your own learning.

    Course highlights:

    I learned about the history of DNA as the inheritance molecule, about the mechanisms of cell division, about the different kinds of regulation in the cell, such as through operons, and about the mechanisms of evolution. Since the class was slow, we did not reach much of ecology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    You have to take this course if you are a biochemistry or biology major. Don't stress, attend the classes, but focus on your own reading, study Bader's Powerpoint slides, and attend SI sessions, and you should be fine.

    Teacher was pleasant, tests were fair

    Course highlights:

    We did a lot of group quizzes which really helped with understanding the information.

    Note cards and drawing out maps were the best study tools to use
