    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is challenging and Professor Meyer expects a lot from you. I would recommend it because it was a class I took as a Freshman that pupshed me hard and showed me I could handle harder. He does not hand you equations and numbers, he expects you to learn to understand the equations and be capable of manipulating them. He forces you to learn and I apreciated that in the end.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was looking back at the course in the very end and recognizing how much I had learned. I came into the class thinking I didn't even need it because I had taken a lot of chemistry already but I was very wrong and I did poorly in the beginning but eventually got the hang of it. Professor Meyer also makes strange noises during lecture, which is amusing

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The tests are pretty hard. They are part multiple choice and part problem set. Figure out early what you need to focus on most and how you need to study. I personally had to do practice problems to fully understand what I was doing. Don't blow off the online homework, do it and understand it. TA's might not be very helpful, mine wasn't.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a prereq for a lot of courses

    Course highlights:

General chemistry, revising a lot of concepts and problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Re-watch the lectures to see what Dr. Meyer talks about each concept and problem.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a required course in the school of engineering so you have to take it, but it isn't a horrible course to take even if it wasn't required.

    Course highlights:

Going into this course my chemistry knowledge was not very good, but I found that after this course I truly understood the concepts much better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the lecture and pay attention, read the book, and go to the SI sessions. You can't practice or study too much.
