    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was very in-depth on both the technical and historical aspect of art. The student will be challenged to view art from a different perspective. One of the goals in the class is to help the student see art as more than merely a form of entertainment, but rather as an expression of emotion and meaning. Very interesting course, would definitely recommend. However, if you take this class, be prepared to do a lot of reading and writing!

    Course highlights:

I gained the ability to see art from an technical point of view.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the reading and read the syllabus carefully, and you will be just fine!

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches you the finer points behind simply examining art. It instructs the student how to recognize the true value of art.

    Course highlights:

How to properly and fairly evaluate art.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest to students considering this course that they commit to outside research of the topics discussed in the text in order to grasp a firmer understanding of the material.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Requires a stronger interest in multiple cultures and investment into art forms.

    Course highlights:

Art is defined as the intentional representation of something. Whether realistic or fantastic, accurate or metaphoric. So, a cat cannot create art, but a child's stick figures are.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Set time aside for online content and reading assignments. Challenge yourself to immerse yourself in the Art Experiences.
