Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Everyone needs to understand finance. This course explains the importance of investing early and staying out of debt. People get over their head in debt, which causes stress and is a major cause of divorce.

    Course highlights:

There are many things to consider when investing. The earlier you start, the better. The effect of compounding interest is dramatic. You should consider adding mutual funds to your portfolio that have performed well over time (5-10 years). However, you cannot buy past performance. Also, don't put all of your eggs in one basket. Diversify among 3-5 different types of mutual funds: Large cap, small cap, growth, growth and income and a money market. The purpose of the money market fund is to have a conservative place to move your money as you approach retirement.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Regardless of your occupation, everyone needs to understand money. People/companies will ask for your money for the rest of your life. You need to understand needs versus wants and good investments versus bad investments.
