    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is one of those you just have to take to graduate. Ms. Blewett is really nice and very intelligent, but the course is just sub college level and you will probably not learn anything about how to improve your writing. Instead the class revolves around pointless discussions concerning literary topics like "genre" and "discourse." Sure these are interesting in a theoretically study of english, but are they actually useful? Not really. Also, all the books that are included in the course are very middle school level, which I found really disappointing.

    Course highlights:

I honestly didn't learn anything from this course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course just do the homework and sometimes contribute to the discussions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Allen Berres has a very dry, stern personality. He may come off as cruel or rude, but as you continue through his class you will realize that he is an extraordinary teacher. He always has the students' best interest in mind and is always open to help the students.

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to properly put paragraphs together and express myself without sounding awkward on paper.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Hang in there, it's not as bad as it seems.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'm not sure what the call number is, but the course is Senior Seminar Poetry and we're working on creating our own chap books of poetry. The professor is fantastic, and the course involves a small group where we workshop every class.

    Course highlights:

The course is set up so that we read the first book of poetry from multiple authors. Then we analyze the book as a whole along with hyper analyzing some key poems. What this does is gives us as writers examples of different ways to put together a book of poetry.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be involved in the process. The class can be extremely helpful but you need to be involved to get the most out of it.
