    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course gives a strong foundation and overview of marketing. Dr. Sojka is engaging in this large lecture and makes marketing interesting. The course work was not intensive, but I was still able to learn a lot.

    Course highlights:

There are two key elements in marketing: the 4p's and the customer is always the most important. These two concepts makeup the entirety of marketing. For instance, when promoting (on of the 4ps) a product, someone in marketing would not talk about the features of the product, but rather how the product benefits the customer.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you attend class and engage during lectures, it makes learning the material very easy. Doing these things makes getting an A in the class extremely attainable.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot in this course, and Dr. Sojka is very interactive. As a Marketing major it made me more interested in my career path.

    Course highlights:

The most important feature in marketing is the customer. This is brought up in everything we are taught. For example, when promoting a product you can't talk about what the product does, but how the product benefits the consumer. Another main feature of marketing is the 4 p's: product, price, placement, and promotion. These are the four elements that shape marketing. By learning these elements, I now have a foundation going into more intense and in-depth marketing courses.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you attend class and participate in class, you will receive a high grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was a great introduction to marketing and consumer behavior! Dr. Sojka is probably the kindest, most well educated professor I've ever met and her lectures made the class fun. The class size of 600 students was a bit intimidating at first, but Dr.Sojka's teaching, along with her TA's made it a great class. I highly reccomend it!

    Course highlights:

The course covered the basics of marketing and consumer behavior. We learned the 4 p's of the marketing mix and how to apply them to best accomodate your customers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for a large class (about 600 students) and make sure to go to every lecture. If you don't, you'll have to do a ton of reading to catch up.
