    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I probably wouldnt recommend this course because it is an absolute snooze! If you're like me and most students, psych 1001 is required prereq, so you don't really have a choice. The professor is very quirky but she is nice and tries to accommodate all students. She understands that a lot of the material is hard to take in in one sitting and tries to make the best of it.

    Course highlights:

it was very easy to pass and get a good grade. Assignments are easy and if you apply yourself and care about the subject you could leave learning quite a bit.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Honestly, it is extremely easy to pass this class with a great grade. Introduce yourself to the professor, SHOW UP to class because sometime she will take surprise attendance quizzes when it looks like a lot of people chose to skip and if you're there and you write your name on the paper passed around you will get a 100% quiz grade just for showing up to class that day! Overall this is mostly a required course but a considerate professor. The quizzes were online all the time and easy to cheat and look at your notes if you aren't that moral.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Breen is a nice guy, but the way that he teaches is hard to understand. He tries to teach his own life philosophy, but still somehow tries to squeeze in psychology.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there are certain schema that help the memory save information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Please learn how to do SQ4R notes, and be prepared to read almost the whole book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Holden was incredibly knowledgeable about psychology, but in such a big lecture-style class, I felt a little lost during each class. He seemed to just read from the book and leave us on our own to work out understanding the topics. While I appreciate how much he knows, I would have also gained more if he had slowed down and interjected different styles of teaching into the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about brain structure and how our brains work. We did a really interesting unit on sleep cycles and even had to write an essay about a typical 24 hour period and what our brains were doing at each activity. I really enjoyed learning more about how our thoughts are constructed and how our brains reach out to every other part of our bodies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the text book assigned readings, and ask questions, even if you have to go up to Professor Holden at the end of every class. He is very open to one-on-one communication. Of course, take all the online tests and quizzes, because those help your knowledge and your grade.
