This class was tough.
Dr. King is an amazing professor being he is so knowledgeable about the subject that he is teaching and he keeps the class interesting by inserting anecdotes throughout the class.
The highlight of this class for me was being able to combine my knowledge of biology with psychology. I learned a lot about different mental illnesses and the neurotransmitters that play a role in those illnesses. For example, I found it really interesting when learning about Parkinson's Disease and Schizophrenia that they both involve the neurotransmitter Dopamine. In Schizophrenia there is too much dopamine and in Parkinson's Disease there is not enough Dopamine. The treatments for both of these illnesses can then induce symptoms of the opposite illness because the treatment is altering the levels of Dopamine in the brain.
