This class was tough.
Many of my peers, myself included, thought this course would teach you everything there is to know about the stock market, simple day trading and be applicable to our everyday investments. It's not. It is very theoretical, and requires a lot of algorithm writing and "trial and error". It's a very difficult and dense course, however the professor is brilliant and very understanding of the fact that this is a difficult class for undergraduate finance majors.
You will learn about subjects like dark pools, electronic trading, and the unfortunate truth about the stock market / day trading. You will learn about pattern in the market, how to write algorithms that handle trading of stocks, how these algorithms caused the stock market to crash, and much more.
