Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a good introduction to chemistry labs if you need to take chemistry credits. You work with a lab partner so you're not completely on your own, and Dr. Padolik is really good about answering questions you may have even though TAs run the lab.

    Course highlights:

You get to actively do experiments, rather than sit in lectures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the lab manual before coming to class, and make sure to find a reliable lab partner.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is not too bad as long as you keep up with your work. Dr. Padolik himself is a very understanding professor, as well. I had to miss a lab for a club trip, and he just let me come in at my leisure to make up the experiment.

    Course highlights:

You get to do a lot of really cool and decently easy introductory chemical experiments. I learned a lot of new lab techniques and got to use some cool technology as lab equipment.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you stay on top of the pre-lab quizzes and keep up with the lab reports, this class is a breeze. My biggest problem was waiting to start my reports until the day they were due and always felt really rushed. This is especially important for the final group experiment. Make sure your group stays on task and on schedule!
