Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I learned so much important information that I will use one day in my career as a clinical psychologist. This class focused on the various mental disorders and the lectures that I attended were thorough and full of useful information.

    Course highlights:

I completed a nine page research paper on an analysis of borderline personality disorder, which gave me a huge understanding on what that specific disorder is and how it can be treated. I also participated in a debate on whether or not Prozac and other antidepressants are safe and effective. The amount of time and research I had to put in the debate made me learn so much on antidepressants and depression and other disorders.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to read over every chapter in the textbook, and be sure to also take notes regarding the different disorders and treatments of those disorders. Flashcards are very handy when it comes to studying for the exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mr. Novello is actually interested in what he is teaching. I personally thought the course was very intriguing and because it is so intriguing you actually learn a lot.

    Course highlights:

I loved watching the videos of real people that had the different psychological problems. One of our main papers was writing about a movie that displayed a disorder and determining if the movie was accurate or not. I honestly loved this class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters before class, show up to class to take the quizzes and do the extra credit assignments. No, they aren't needed to pass this class, but I know of one student in my class who didn't have to take the final exam because she had passes all of the quizzes and previous tests.
