    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this class if you're looking for a challenge or are a really good student and are willing to put in the time for it. It's a tough class but you learn so much and it really makes you appreciate biology.

    Course highlights:

You get to learn about ecosystems and that's what I enjoyed the most, I loved learning about how the environment around organisms affects them. Also, I thought it was cool to be able to dissect a pig, earthworm, and squid in the lab.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot, do not skip out on lectures because they do have some clicker questions that go towards your final grade. Always read the book, you will not make it through the class solely looking at the powerpoints.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class to fulfill a lab requirement. The class is challenging. However, this class does force you to practice efficient studying which helped me grow as a student. The material can be dry and the professors can fly through the material at times in order to stay on schedule but they follow their syllabus quite accurately.

    Course highlights:

Because this is an introductory class, a lot of the material is very general and will get more specific if you are on a biology path. Learning how the study was the highlight of this class because it better prepares me for the future. If you can effectively study, this class will not be *as* hard as it is made out to be.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to know how to effectively study and manage your time. This class is time-consuming because there is a lot of material to learn and it is often crammed. If you have a question, ask. Go to their office hours, it will make a difference.
