    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't because it's way too complicated and involved for a general education course.

    Course highlights:

I learned how badly other countries, third world countries really have it compared to first world countries like The United States of America.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask questions and participate in class alot and you can get an easy A.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's an interesting course, I believe we as Americans should know what is going on outside the U.S. We are sheltered and closed-minded when it comes to other cultures outside of North America.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to become more open minded, I learned that I need to stop taking the simple things for granted, such as having water to drink or being able to see a doctor when I feel ill. I've learned that my life may not be the greatest, but I pretty much have it made in the U.S when compared to those who live in other countries.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take plenty of notes and ask many questions! Never feel afraid to ask questions, you never know. Many of your peers may have been wondering the same thing.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

There are many general education requirements that are required in order to graduate but these tend to feel like an unnecessary hurdle rather than actually learning useful things. SOC 210 was a very interesting course that fulfilled my SOC requirement as well as expose me to new things.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was the chapters on Genocide and Ethnocide. There were many relevant examples and it felt important to learn about these historical events. The book "First they killed my father" by Loung Ung was a good read.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The course encourages doing the reading and expects good strategy during MCQ style quizzes. For these types of exams the best tactic is to read the questions thoroughly and highlighting key words in the questions. Then, eliminate the options until you find the best possible answer.
