Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a fantastic course that taught us the bare basics of scripting our own websites, and peaked my interests in web programming as a whole. Definitely for those who aren't quite sure what aspect of computer science they want to go into. And while I don't particularly enjoy HTML. it still gave me a fantastic insight into what I might be doing in the future, and helped me to understand the tasks and requirements I would face should I get a job in this field.

    Course highlights:

Easily the highlight of the class was when we all browsed each other's websites to see how they worked. It was amazing seeing just how much work we had all put into our projects, and it was interesting seeing the various ways we all went about completing it. I mainly learned how to set up a web development environment, how to host files on a server, and snippets of JavaScript and CSS3.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, and don't scrimp out on work. It may seem daunting at first, but you'll thank yourself for it in the long run. As for study tips, work with a partner, and study the source code of other websites as you go to see if you can read and understand it. Take frequent, and detailed notes.

Good time management skills. You must make sure to not start assignments to late because the class is online and blackboard can crash.
