    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course! This course was very thorough and it was taught in concepts. I would recommend that if you take this course that you read the textbook and strive to understand it by concepts. The teacher was very helpful if you had questions and truly loves and knows, I won't say everything, but everything about biology. It was so nice to be in a class with a teacher who knows what he is doing and that really cares about biology. I learned a ton in this course because of the passion my Professor had for what he was teaching. I am so glad I was able to take this course with this teacher.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are the professor that I was working with and the subject material was captivating to me. In this course all that you are taught is what happens in the cell but I honestly felt like I learned so much more than just that! I learned great things about biology in a greater perspective!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! Put in the time to study and do not be afraid to ask questions. I would recommend office hours. Read the textbook along with the power point notes.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in all things biology, especially the chemistry aspects involved in it, this is a course for you! But, if you are simply taking the course as an extra credit or as a required lab, I would suggest taking a different course. This course moves very quickly and the professor expects his students to already have acquired a basic understanding of multiple concepts involved, including many in chemistry. If you take this course, be willing to study the entire chapter that is being discussed in class on your own as well.

    Course highlights:

In taking this course, more than anything else, I learned how to study and what study methods work best for me. I also learned many course-specific concepts like the actual make-up of cells and how biology actually affects one's daily life. I learned how to apply myself in class and to hold myself to higher standards than I did in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study each concept, power point of notes, and chapter on your own before coming to class. The professor expects you to have a general understanding of what will be discussed in class in each day and will not discuss every part of the chapter that will be on the unit test. Study before you get to class so that the lecture will reinforce the information you've studies, answer any questions you have, and help you to understand the application of the topics you've studied.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As long as you review her lecture notes and study them the night before you will be fine in the class.

    Course highlights:

If you took AP Bio then there is really only one test you need to study for.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

She does expect you to study and know the information, so if you have trouble find someone to do the work with.
