Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course if you're interested in education. I would not recommend taking it online. The course material was informative and interesting. I also liked the class assignments she had us do. I did not like participating in discussions as there were varying levels of dedication in the class which made it sometimes difficult to respond to classmates.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about English Language Learners or second language learners in general. The material was practical and easy to use in a classroom. Some of the activities that were mentioned were activities that are used in Mesa Public Schools.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Become familiar with google docs; it helps when you're trying to finish the assignments. Explore and research different types of learning activities. It will increase your knowledge and your classmates.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is great course for learning how to properly teach English Language Learners. I had taken the class online and was still able to benefit greatly from Ms. Alsen's provided readings (no textbook purchase required!) and online videos.

    Course highlights:

I appreciated Beth's use of visuals in her assignments. She didnt just have papers due. She had fun projects and she included a lot of visual learning in her discussion board questions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take the excelerated course like I did, make sure you use proper time management to ensure you can get all of the required tasks complete.
