Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course makes you deal with real world encounters, and you'll have fun while doing it!

    Course highlights:

Not only did I gain more confidence in my public speaking skills, but I also learned what a speech should consist of and all the points you should cover. I also learned how to properly site information in a speech rather than on paper.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The class may seem hard, but the important thing is to stay confident and know that you got this! at times, it may seem as if the teacher is working against you, however, she wants nothing but th best from you both as a student and as in individual.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have a great fear of speaking publicly. I've taken many different communication classes and had to withdraw because they gave me too much anxiety. The professor was recommended to me by one of the counselors and she was a great professor. She was very understanding and pushed you to do your best, but not to the point of where you want to escape the class. Easily my favorite class out of the semester.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to effectively communicate. I now understand the importance of making your points and thoughts clear while making a speech or even talking. I also learned the value of writing an outline before your speech. Even if you don't use it in your speech, an outline makes it easier to remember and organize your thoughts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy a lot of note cards, they come in handy. Try to make friends with your classmates, if you make at least two friends, it's easier to give speeches in front of the class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is a really easy way to improve your speaking ability in meetings and small crowds.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning how to give a speech using power point to assist rather than lean on.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take this class with an open mind.
