Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

At first I thought CHM130 was going to be extremely difficult since it was an accelerated learning course over the summer, however I was proven wrong. Dr. Z. is a fantastic professor who has an organic passion for all things revolving around chemistry. He provided a lot of personable information throughout the course which aided in the learning process. Also, Dr. Z. provided every day examples to his students in order to help fully understand the subject at hand.

    Course highlights:

The entire class was exciting to be a part of, but the real highlight of the class was Dr. Z's stories. He would tell the class stories of career which lead him to be the successful Doctor his is today. As a result of his stories, the class was able to remember and understand much of the material. Also, the mass amount of repetition helped in committing multiple concepts to memory in order to do well on the weekly exams.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're taking CHM130, read and re-read the material if you don't initially understand the concepts. Also, do as many mathematical problems as possible because when the exam comes, you won't stress about the complexity of the question. Additionally, visit the tutors when possible because they helped explain things to me in simple, easy, terms.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because the teacher goes in depth with explanations if you ask him and is a very reasonable teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about basic chemistry and the highlights were that he was open and understanding to anything going on in your personal life, and he takes the time to help you when you are struggling.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

His class is easy and you learn a lot. Strictly study the cam book and take a lot of notes. Don't be afraid to ask questions
