    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If this is not a requirement, take the 130 or 111 chemistry class. This class is tough and requires a lot of work and studying. It goes at a brisk pace and if you miss class you're seriously behind usually.

    Course highlights:

You learn the second half of the general chemistry textbook. This means a lot of equations and many, many titrations calculations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you cannot understand indian accents, do not take Bascal, he is great but you have to know what he is saying. Be ready for brisk pace and a lot of easily messed up calculations. Don't skip class and pay attention while you're there.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Peter's is an efficient professor. He makes the material easy to understand, but his tests are difficult. He is definitely not one of those professors where you can just walk in and take a test and expect to do well.

    Course highlights:

Peter's will tell funny stories that relate to a chemistry concept. His easy to understand teaching methods make class enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. Study. STUDY! If you want to pass, then study! Do the webassign and practice problems. Do the problems in the back of the book!

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Yes I would highly recommend this course with this teacher because he explains the material well. Some work is needed on the student's part to keep up with the material and work on it because there are definitely some tough topics.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot more about basic chemistry and how reactions work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely make sure you study every day and make sure to do some of the problems in the book, The more practice you have the more successful you will be in the class.
