Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course as it prepares a person for the Animal Science major and what they are undertaking.

    Course highlights:

The highlights included all aspects of the major and what would be dealt with throughout the four years. Including the classes that will be taken and a general intro into each of them. Such as Reproduction and Nutrition classes taken the following year.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study the material there are no curve balls on the test as long as all the material is studied.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this course! Dr. Alava is engaging and lively and makes sure her students are not bored while in the classroom. The subject matter is also extremely interesting; the class covers topics from breeds of animals to meat production, to ethical treatment of animals. There is not much homework given, quizzes and tests are straightforward and the professor makes sure the class is prepared before giving them.

    Course highlights:

The course covers basic food animal breeds and production of them. It started off with learning about beef cattle, dairy cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens. You learn how the animals are raised, what happens at certain marks in their lives, as well as the anatomy and reproduction. At the end, there was a section on ethical treatments of animals, kosher killings, etc.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it, take Dr. Alava. Make sure you take notes and pay attention in class and get into the material. It is not difficult as long as you just pay attention in class. Intro to Animal Science is a very widely interesting class and you're always learning something new.
