    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course unless you have a strong interest in historical Catholic art. I would also recommend avoiding the night class because unless you have a strong interest it can be very boring by the time hour two rolls around. Also, if you are introverted like me, there are discussions that are worth a large portion of the grade in which you are required to make points to get credit. This can be uncomfortable depending on your personality.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were seeing the different styles of art such as baroque and renaissance. Also seeing how the art evolved through time was pretty cool. However, because of the discussion based nature of the class it was too easy to neglect taking notes and so I really only learned a general sense of everything instead of a more in depth understanding of the material.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to thoroughly learn the material you need to take notes and force yourself to pay attention. If you just want the grade you just need to know enough to get average scores on the exams, and you need to go to all of the classes to get full credit for discussions and do the extra credits.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Visual Arts and the Catholic Imagination helped me to gain an alternate perspective on life. This course helped me to open my mind to different opinions and different insights offered in class on different artworks.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me how to look at a situation and gather information before making decisions or forming a consensus. It taught me how to deduce different perspectives on situations and form my opinions based off information gathered through classroom discussions and the teacher's guidance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would study hard for tests and pay careful attention in class to the teacher during discussions and take notes on discussions and on any terminology discussed during class
