The Professor gave us, on day 1, excellent advice to obtain an A in his course. As you come across unfamiliar terms in the readings and lectures, make flashcards for yourself, and employ them until you know them backwards and forwards.
The basics of biology, interrelationships of all species on this planet, and dependence of our own species on the health of others informed so many of my decisions since. The mental organization necessary to incorporate the information became essential to so many jobs and activities after leaving school.
