    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was required for my major, so I had no choice but to take it. However, if it isn't required for a student's major, I would not recommend it to anymore. If you are working in English or Communications, it is very helpful. In anything else, it's just a waste of time. The coursework is hard and the teacher is not very nice. You are forced to learn everything on your own.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the five week online course, you do three lessons each week that focus on a form of grammar. Everything from simple comma rules to predict nominatives are taught, making you feel as if you are back in middle school. What you learn is unnecessary because when are you going to sit there and pinpoint whether the person you are talking to is speaking in active or passive voice? You won't. The refreshed me on some hyphen and comma rules I had forgotten. Other than that, I did not learn much useful information.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Any student wishing to take this course should first pay attention to when they are taking it. There is a great amount of coursework to do each week, and much more if you're struggling to understand a certain lesson. Keep up on the work, but do not try to do 3 lessons in a row because it will give you stress. Opposing to this, do not do lessons on Sundays either because you won't have the drive to do so. If you finish lessons early in the week, move on to next week's lessons and get a head start. Print out all of the handouts because they will sincerely help with other lessons.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I liked this course because it was completely online. It was only scheduled to last through October, but I could work ahead however I pleased. I usually took Sundays to knock out three or four quizzes to stay ahead- this allowed me more wiggle room if I had plans or other things to do during the week!

    Course highlights:

I learned so much more about grammar than I did in high school. I was learning completely foreign concepts, but since the class was online, I could go back and review them whenever I needed to. There's a lot of vocabulary to keep up with, but it was good practice for taking notes at my own pace!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a lot of work for one credit hour, but you won't regret it. It is a lot of work, but feels less stressful since you don't have the traditional stress and push of a typical in-person class. Do it!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although it is helpful, if you do not have to take the class stay away!

    Course highlights:

My grammar has become far better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Only take the course if needed
