The rock samples give you a detailed account of glaciation and formation of minerals, water and gases in their various forms of composition and decomposition and their relations of the age and era timelines of our planet. Tectonic plates boundaries and the pattern of the hydraulic cycles also explain the transfer of minerals and their relationship to weather and climate. McGilvrey Hall has one of the best mineral collections of any college in America as you walk down the halls on your way to class that has samples from around the world.

Listen to his lectures and have questions before, during and after class. He is very patient and wants you to understand the curriculum. Discuss with him news articles, television programs or your experiences within the boundaries of the subject matter and above all, take advantage of his office hours.
