Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was an overly interesting course. The professor have an amazing passion for the subject and it showed in his teaching. If you have a passion for animals, then this is absolutely the course for you.

    Course highlights:

I want to go into Zoology, so this was a great introduction to the biology of animals. We discussed everything from the beginning of bacteria and prokaryotes, to the evolution of humans. The information was very basic, as this is just a beginners course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The professor talks very fast, so be prepared for that. Also, study material as you learn it. There is a lot of information thrown at you each and every lecture, so it will save you a ton of stress to just study it as you learn it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because Dr. Kershner is very passionate about the material he is teaching and it comes across that way. So even if you do not love the material being taught it makes it a little easier to listen to him speak about it in such a passionate way.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course include learning about the biological diversity from plants and animals and fungi and archea and bacteria. We went into a lot of detail about some specific species along with a general overview of what traits the groups shared.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend rewriting your notes and having a friend of yours go over them with you. This is helpful because they are able to see what you have written and ask questions based upon the notes. Dr. Kershner's course is definitely a course that requires you to attend class because his exams are based upon the notes you have taken during lecture. I also suggest actually writing your notes and not typing them as it makes them easier to remember.
