    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He enjoys teaching to the students what he knows. Each semester Dr. Bowers tries to get the students involved in different ways. He does like to tell a few jokes every once and again to break up the monotony.

    Course highlights:

I was able to learn a lot of things that helped me go on in my Pre-Med degree. From Intermolecular Forces, Le Chatelier's Principle, I.C.E. tables, etc., etc., etc. I still enjoy going and speaking to him about how his new classes like the way he teaches.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend the classes. He does give out a lot of great information that isn't covered as in depth within the text. Dr. Bowers also tries to ensure that all questions are answered and everyone understands before going on to the next subject. Also use the Student Instruction (S.I.), it is very helpful.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not just because it is a pre-req. Dr. Bowers is actually fun to have as a professor.

    Course highlights:

The highlights are some of the demonstrations Dr. Bowers uses to explain chemistry to you. Along with his extra study sessions once a week that he holds, to answer any questions you might not have asked in class, SI, or his office hours.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready and go back over your Gen Chem I notes before the start of the class. Some things are going to be gone over to check what you know at the beginning.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are not a chemistry major or interested in chemistry then do not take this course. It is very difficult and they expect a lot out of you. Even to understand the most specific and detailed of things. I put a lot of time and studying into this course and still did not receive the grade i desired.

    Course highlights:

You do learn many interesting facts about chemistry that are useful in everyday life when working with chemicals around you

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours whenever offered and as much tutoring as you can.
