    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is very easy to understand and great for an elective. I would also highly recommend taking Intro to Soc with Allen Lowry. He makes the course content very easy to digest and helps you every step of the way.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I've learned how to think more analytically about the most basic concepts all around us. Dr. Lowry helps to explain sociological theories in ways that are easy to understand, which helps you apply your knowledge outside of the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely attend every class, because while Dr. Lowry puts the notes online, he also explains much of the material further in class. Also if you're lucky, he'll go over the study guides in class which will help you on future tests and quizzes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really gets you to think about how people act socially and why. The professor shows great knowledge of the subject.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course was that there were no required papers to write, only assigned quizzes at the end of each week. I learned about how different cultures influence the way people behave. I also learned how different groups such as primary groups and secondary groups have an impact on people.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not skip class because the notes are not posted online. The professor goes into great detail about each topic, so it is important to take notes. Read each chapter because there are questions on the exams from the book. The professor gives a study guide and offers a study session for each exam. Take advantage of the opportunities.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was a fantastic class! As long as you attend class, since Mr. Owens says a lot of the information necessary for his exams in class, you will get an A in the class. Also, the book is not required. He spoon-feeds you information for the exams.

    Course highlights:

Receiving 100% on 3 of the 4 exams in the class!!!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't necessarily need to take notes, but if you do take them on your computer so you can take them down faster
