    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a required course for accounting majors at Kent State. I recommend to try to get a different professor for this course. Fangjun Sang is a very nice lady but she is not a very good professor. Most of the examples and study guides she gave out in class had wrong information and she would wait to email us that the information was wrong until about an hour before a test or exam. If you do have to have her for a professor, I highly recommend going to the tutoring. She is very hard to understand and doesn't understand the questions the students ask.

    Course highlights:

I did not gain much from this course. The GIAF project was a very effective tool in real life practice of entering information into general journals, entering information into the general ledger, and doing adjusting entries. I do not feel like I learned much else from this class and will be going to tutoring over the summer to learn what I should have learned in this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is set up to be tough. No matter what professor you have I suggest going to tutoring and doing group studying before all exams. Also doing the problems at the end of each chapter to practice will help to understand the material better even though these problems are not discussed in class. These problems will help when it comes to doing the homework.
