Pretty easy, overall.
Although I am not a Food Science major, I found this course really interesting regarding the brewing industry. I work in a restaurant so knew a bit about beer, but this course gave me more insight as to how beer is made and the process as a whole.
An interesting thing about this class is that students are "allowed" to drink alcoholic beverages during class. I put allowed in quotes because no, the professor didn't encourage it, but he didn't prohibit it either. Class was from 2:30-5:20 on a Friday afternoon and this was a fun way to get students to not skip.

It really helps to go to class. Even though the professor puts all the powerpoint slides online, it is supplemental to physically be in class. Throughout the semester the professor would bring in brewing material like hops and roasted barley and it was interesting to be able to see and smell what they use in the beer.
