    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

She tries the most with this course. So much effort goes into a course that matters so little (from an elective standpoint)

    Course highlights:

Got to read some high quality materials, which never hurt anyone.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

READ READ READ the books. Attend the plays. GO TO CLASS

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is an easy way to fulfill one of Virginia Tech's CLE requirements.

    Course highlights:

You will learn about the basic components of theatre as well as the history behind it. This course is purely lecture, so no acting is required.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is fairly simple, and success is based mainly on quizzes and tests. The professor does not post notes online, however, it is fairly easy material to understand. All quizzes will be taken online outside of class and are open book. The books needed to buy for the course are plays that are quick and easy to read. You will also be required to attend to performances of plays by the school.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Susanna Rinehart is a fantastic teacher! Basically, if you just pay attention and participate in class, you will have everything you need to know for the quizzes. She lays out everything clearly and explains ideas thoroughly to ensure every student is comfortable with the course material. Also, the "Exam" is merely another quiz, it is not cumulative of the semester and like the other quizzes, should only focus on around 3 plays.

    Course highlights:

She is amazing about comparing various influences of theatre and plays throughout the eras. She also always opens up any topic for discussion.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the plays and take notes of what she says in class, plain and simple. And make sure to save the program and ticket stub of the VT plays you see, she does not make any exceptions.
