Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Rosenzweig is very knowledgeable and very passionate about biology, and that is what I like the most about the class. He always does his best to make himself available to students who need help and he genuinely wants students to succeed in his class.

    Course highlights:

The most important concepts in this class were photosynthesis, aerobic respiration, the electron transport chain, and the four types of biological macromolecules and their functions. There are a few other concepts, but those four are the foundation of biology and therefore the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The textbook for this class isn't required because he puts a video outline explaining everything in the lesson online.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hogan really cares about his students and goes out of his way to make sure they succeed. His active learning classroom really fosters a deeper understanding of biology and makes learning the material more fun and meaningful.

    Course highlights:

Through this course, I learned the basics of biology that will carry me through my time as a biology major. This course is fun because of the way students get to collaborate on activities and how much better students learn the material as a result.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you keep up with the outside lessons. Really watching the lectures and making sure you understand the information is the best way to succeed. Make sure you start studying for the tests early on as there is a lot of information to cover.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me a lot about time management and teaching yourself. This course is a flipped class, so you do the lecture on your own before class and during class you complete activities. I ended up with a B in this course and I am very happy with it. Dr. Voshell is also a great teacher to go to outside of class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to manage my time during this course. Also, I learned how to teach myself information and how to study. My first test, I received a 68. However, I went to office hours, changed my study habits, and wallah! I got a 84 on my next test. Remember not to give up just because you got a bad great on a test. Use that grade to motivate you to work harder.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise to go to office hours during this course. Getting one on one time with your professor allows you to ask questions and understand concepts that you are struggling with.
