Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Many people who take Chem 1035 are required to for their major, but if you are thinking about taking it as an elective, I would only take it if you are very interested in chemistry. It is a difficult course, but if you keep up with the online homework assignments, do the practice tests, and the extra worksheet problems provided, you can do well in the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of chemistry. A lot of the information learned, you probably learned in high school chemistry, or at least touched briefly on it in high school. So, if you did well in chemistry in high school, you will most likely do well in chemistry 1035.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you ask questions when you are confused because the professors move through the course material fairly quickly and it'll just start to snowball if you don't ask questions as soon as you get confused.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For most it is a Gen Ed course and can be boring at times but Amateis makes the course work make sense.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches the very basics of chemistry and as long as you pay attention in class and put in the time for homework and studying it isn't too bad. The main thing Chem taught me though is that studying is necessary and don't be too worried about 1 bad grade (it'll be dropped ;)).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

First go back to the book if you really don't understand something, office hours are good for this too. When it comes to studying the extra practice connect assignments are very helpful and if you don't understand the question use the guided answer. This option takes you through how to get the answer instead of just telling you you're wrong.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although gen chem is a hell of a course and requires a lot of time and effort, I believe it's a very necessary course to see who is willing to put in the work.

    Course highlights:

There will be none honestly. Gen Chem is made to weed out the people who think they can get by with not learning material

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you go to class every day, pay attention to lecture, do your homework on time and prepare for every recitation quiz and exam by doing previous ones given to you by your professor.
