Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course for Science Majors because most likely your degree will require this course for graduation.

    Course highlights:

That although you learned these same concepts in High School, High School's version was a general overview, now you are going in-depth and understanding why certain trends occur

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to help sessions and do the assignments. Don't take them for granted because when the exam comes those questions are most likely going to be a slight variation of the assignment questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Students tend to take this as a prereq. or for their major. If this is you, try your best to do all of the work and study the heck out of this course. That's the key to success.

    Course highlights:

The basics of chemistry. I learned that I tend to procrastinate so DO NOT DO THAT

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the online assignments and don't half-a** them.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

While I may have struggled with learning chemistry in high school because of a complete lack of interest, Dr. Amateis made every lecture exciting and understandable. She was a wonderful speaker and helped to really drill material into the heads of all of her students, and I feel like I came out of her Chem 1035 learning something new and interesting everyday. I highly recommend taking her course.

    Course highlights:

I learned much more about how to read the periodic table and its trends than I had in high school. We also learned about how to draw proper Lewis Dot Diagrams and predicted the shapes of molecules with this knowledge. Students looking into chemical engineering will definitely have a blast in this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework and always stay up to date on assignments. While homework may seem like a drag sometimes, in this class homework is crucial towards building a foundation of knowledge of chemistry. When studying for tests, remember to work on practice problems as well even if they are optional as they can give you the experience you need to bump that test grade from a B to an A.
