Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Any business student who is business undecided or declared as management or business admin. should take this course. Even if you are in a different field, I still highly recommend it. Not only does it give you a background on all areas of business, it also gives ample opportunity for hands on experiences.

    Course highlights:

Not only was the professor amazing, but the best part of the course was the business plan project. For this project you and your group must create a lemonade stand, or something similar, and perform the stand off campus. While at times the project did become difficult, it taught teamwork and the importance of pivoting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have a question, ask it. Also make sure you keep up with all the deadlines. There are weekly quizzes online, I suggest doing them right when they open. Also there are a number of papers due so make sure you plan for them. They don't have anything to do with course material, so start as soon as possible.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend it because it is a good way to get your foot in the door for your first semester at tech. It is a little slow paced but that is good for an introductory course.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed doing the round tables and talking to people that were currently doing the jobs we might be aspiring to do later in our lives. I also liked how we applied what we learned in class to actual life experiences and discussions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to show up to class and do all the discussions. Also make flashcards as you go. Make some for every weekly quiz because they come in handy for the exams, specifically the final because its all vocab from a word bank.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

At first, I didn't mind the course, but after an unfortunate grade on a group project and first exam, I started realizing the class wasn't going to be a GPA booster. I had no clue it was an elective, and was never told it was a GPA Booster either, but others have told me how they're academic advisors urged them to take it. If you find out early enough, drop the class. It's an elective that teaches you many things you probably already learned in high school.

    Course highlights:

People tell me they don't learn anything. A lot of it is review, but really in-depth over a lot of chapters and areas of business. If you're lucky enough and engage, you can remember certain areas that can help you decide what you want to pursue in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have the chance, drop the class since it's an elective and can try just equally as hard or less in another class that actually matters. If you go ahead and take it, make sure to look at all the rubrics, especially in the big group project, plan ahead. For both the group projects and the exams. Go to the teacher if you need help, but some will find it easier than others. I'm really good at math, but for some reason I have trouble memorizing and learning for this class.
