    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely helpful to learn the ropes of college writing (which is very different from high school writing) and knowing what was expected of me.

    Course highlights:

I thoroughly learned the details of MLA, and was briefly taught some rules for APA and CMS. I found this was very helpful to me in following courses. I also gained the opportunity to write in a relaxed environment that allowed me to determine where my weak points were.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give you is to follow the syllabus. Reading the materials a few minutes before class is also helpful. Prof. Ries is big in discussion, and she wants to know what the students think about the readings.
