This class was tough.
This class gives important basics that anyone can use in the media industry, even if you aren't specifically focusing on filming or editing. You may find you want to pursue it more, or you may find it to be important knowledge in understanding how things are put together so you can better work with others in the industry.
I have really come to enjoy working on my own videography projects over the past year, and just in this class of the basics of filming and editing, I have greatly improved in the work on my projects. The knowledge gained from this course gave me enough understanding to take my work to the next level, which increased my enjoyment in what I do. I feel that if you are wondering if this is a path you want to pursue, taking this course will benefit you, even if you decide to go down a different path because the editing can be used in areas besides just filming. This course also helped me change how I do my initial set-ups for filming, and challenged me with the details and definitions that I needed to remember and understand in order to properly apply to my filming process.

Advice for students:
The best way to handle this course is to not wait until the last minute to do your projects. You won't gain as much from what you are learning if you have to rush and throw things together. Don't shy away from asking for advice; getting input from others will help you grow. And definitely enjoy what you are learning. Have fun with the different ways you can apply what you learn.
