This class very important when studying communication disorders. The class was well structured and the book was easy to follow. I loved the discs that came with that allowed you to listen and transcribe speech.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading and take full advantage of the discs, YouTube videos, and asking the professor lots and lots of questions

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was amazing. Plain and simple. I learned so much about phonetics and how or why things are pronounced the way that they are. The professor was extremely helpful when it came to transcribing words into the IPA sounds.

    Course highlights:

I know how to transcribe words from the English language that are said into the sounds from the IPA chart. This tool alone will be used all the time for my speech profession.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not fall behind! Do not be afraid to email the professor and tell her that you need help or you do not understand something.
