    Very laid Back Professor, you never want to miss a lecture.

    Course highlights:

    My highlights in this Class came from the discussions, iv learned about Karma and Dharma in Hindu Thoughts, Samkhya and Yoga.

    Advice for students:

    Advice I have for Future students is to visit his Office hours and get some one on one time if you don't completely understand the reading or lecture.

    Course Overview:

    This course teaches wonderful critical thinking skills while enhancing academic writing. It is so unique and interesting, and the professor is helpful and resourceful. There is never a dull moment in this lecture. Though there are 200 students in the class, it is easy to feel comfortable and engaged in the content.

    Course highlights:

    I learned so many new vocabulary words, and I also gained a better understanding of cultural beliefs around the world in different times. I felt as though learning about ancient Greek philosophy was greatly intriguing. It was completely eye-opening and made me re-evaluate the way I view human ethics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Stay on top of the readings, and do your best to comprehend them. It is so essential to review notes and powerpoint slides when you do writing assignments. The writing assignments are usually where concepts begin to click and mesh together, so take them seriously!

    Course Overview:

    Joiner is such an enthusiastic professor and makes philosophy criteria so interesting! Philosophies of the world allowed me to open my mind to different perspectives and analyze various cultures.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to be more open-minded to learning different religious perspectives of the world. This course taught me to become more educated with different beliefs in the world.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do the readings that are assigned because they are extremely essential to the course. Not only are they important for being successful in class, but they also give you so much insight on philosophical beliefs.
