    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course IF you want to test and push your limits. It will make you cry, laugh, and uncomfortable because as you learn about the concepts it is happening in your body.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course is the instructor. Mar is an adorable professor who loves to ruin juice, drinking, and peanuts for you! I learned about cellular respiration, photosynthesis, mitosis, and meiosis. All of which stuck with me after each lecture.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to carefully pick who you want to be in a group with for the semester. I would also highly encourage printing out the learning objectives that are provided to fill them out during lecture. Lastly, always go to the SI sessions! They are super helpful and a great way to change the "language" of biology to simpler terms!

    Advice for students:

    Study and attend S.I. Sessions.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The classroom setting was overwhelming and disorganized, and her particular teaching style was difficult to learn from. She is very educated and knows what she is talking about, but most of the time I felt I was playing catch up with things I never understood to begin with. Her tests are also horrifically janky and hard to understand.

    Course highlights:

I learned that I cannot learn in large environments. I have a broader understanding of how I receive and process information.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You should have a natural curiosity for science if you're taking this course, otherwise the vibe may make you want to rip your hair out. She also talks about plants a lot, so be prepared to learn weird plant facts.
