Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is by far my favorite class I've ever taken. The class size was relatively small so the learning environment was very inclusive and personal. Our professor incorporated music into the classroom and allowed us to partake in constant group work. I feel confident in my ability to speak basic Spanish because of this class and her incredible teaching style.

    Course highlights:

My confidence is substantially higher because of this class, not only in myself but academically. I feel more comfortable talking in front of people because of how much group work and presentation-type activities we did. We also played games to incorporate the language into every-day life. Learning was made so enjoyable through this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy the book and read it on your own time. There is a lot of material and it's absolutely necessary to remember the vocabulary and grammar of a foreign language. Speak the language as often as you can outside of the class. Also, make a friend in class. Having a friend who is also learning the language can ease your nerves and is a great study tool.

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all the homework, especially the Vistas online homework. Miss that and you'll be sorry.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Spanish 101 is the first Spanish course offered. I would recommend it because by taking this class, I was able to study abroad in Costa Rica! It was a life changing experience and I would recommend it to everyone.

    Course highlights:

Going over the basics that I learned in high school is great! We went over things I had forgotten, and I still learned new things all in the same class!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in call and go over the text book. Vocabulary is the most important when it comes to learning a new language! Study and learn the words, you'll need them!
