Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class for various reasons. First of all, my professor, Jason Whetton, is one of the most qualified teachers I have ever had the privilege to have. His understanding of psychology is impeccable and he has taught me so much throughout this semester. Also, psychology is one of those courses that I would high encourage everyone to take at least once in their lives. This is because psychology is all around us and impacts our every day lives. If we all had a basic understanding of psychology, it would influence us beneficially.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was learning about the brain. We learned about all of the lobes within the cerebral cortex as well as their functions and what would happen if that area of the brain were dysfunctional. Also, we learned about the major structures of the brain and how they are connected to and involved with psychology. I loved this part of the course because I am a huge anatomy nerd and I love learning about the human body and brain.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Best advice that I could give would be to keep up on the work! He assigns a lot of homework and individual essays that you must complete. Do not get behind on this and always stay organized with when homework is due. My planner is my best friend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professors knew what they were talking about, the course was very organized and clear cut, and the material was easy to learn. All the slides are posted online but there are some blanks that you have to fill in while in class. They set the course up so that there are review questions everyday which helps you study a little bit.

    Course highlights:

This course provided a general introductory to psychology. I am currently in social psychology and a lot of what I learned in PSY101 is showing up in my social psychology class which is really helpful because I don't have to learn as much new stuff. It's really interesting because you learn about different aspects of psychology so even if you find one subject boring rest assured that you will move onto a different topic that may be more interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings and show up to class. There is a lot to read but it really helps with solidifying all the information. Showing up to class is really important too because they take attendance and because information in class is on the test.
