    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is extremely difficult, especially the lab portion of it, but it is very rewarding. My microbiology class is one of the main reasons why I ultimately decided to change my major to Bio Medical Sciences, and all of the hard work was totally worth it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course for me would have to include the difficulty of understanding that played along with each lecture and lab. At one point I would be feel discouraged because I couldn't understand the concepts that were being taught to us, but once it finally made sense to me I was extremely overjoyed. It's such a rewarding feeling working so hard in such a difficult class and finally seeing results.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Spend a great amount of time trying to understand the underlying concepts for each subject. If you hear a word you don't understand that is mentioned in lecture, look up the definition for it on your free time. Don't spend your time memorizing the material, but more understanding it all. Once you get a good grasp on the lectures and labs, the satisfaction you feel will make all of the hard work and long hours worth it.
