Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is large and in one of the larger lecture halls, but the topics covered are fascinating. it is a great overview of the major world religions. This class does not delve deeply into any one religion, but gives a basic summary of the most populated ones.

    Course highlights:

Covers Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism. Most of the class focuses on the major 5 religions, there are a few times one of the professors will talk about a minority religion within the scope of one of the majors but overall it is a good introduction to the big five. I think one of the biggest eye opening moments for many students in the class is when they realize that all of the "religion" they grew up with is based in ancient stories and not in fact based historical record.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading, go to the SI sessions, go to class and take great notes. the slides are helpful and are available after the class but it is very helpful to have a professor there to explain what he means when he discusses a particular mystic or theological principal.
